Because of windowing API changes on macOS 10.14, Tk windows now display only a black rectangle when Tk is built against the 10.14 SDK. It will be necessary to fix this prior to any new release of Tk. | |||

I and a few other users in the chatroom have confirmed that this is resolved in Tk 8.6.9.1. Thanks! kevin_walzer added on 2018-11-17 12:36:38: I can confirm the black windows are back in the release version. Something must have crept in during the last round of commits because these are NOT present in core-8-6-branch. Will consult on the best course of action. chrstphrchvz added on 2018-11-17 11:53:42: I believe this issue has reappeared in the new final release posted yesterday (2018-11-16) to SourceForge. This issue was not present in the original final (rc4). fvogel added on 2018-11-05 20:24:14: I'm now closing this one. The mac-mojave branch is abandoned, but we have merged the mojave-cleanup branch (which addresses the issues of the present ticket) into core-8-6-branch and then into trunk.
