Nevertheless I believe that it would make sense to move the 
documentation for "Tcl_GetTopChannel" into the 
manpage "ChnlStack.3", as that one describes all the 
related functions.

Grepping for "Tcl_GetTopChannel" I find it documented 
in "doc/CrtChannel.3". This manpage is linked 
to "Tcl_GetTopChannel.3" by 'mkLinks', so this is not 
missing either.
