It would be wonderful if i could : split the chat window run a search or read history in one window while watching the existing discussion in the other

Search in the history exists and is documented as: <verbatim> Searching /?<text> Search the chat buffer for matching text. Repeating the command will progress to the previous match /! Clear the previous search result </verbatim> However I didn't find how to split the chat window, if the feature exists (which is apparently the case, see below comment from treincke)
